Otovo’s Supply Chain
As an asset-light company, all our deliveries to our end-customers are handled via framework agreements with subcontractors. As our operations scale up, we are proactively looking to ensure solid supply of equipment and materials to the installers on our platform. We therefore establish strategic supply chain partnerships in all the markets we operate in, and are constantly looking for improvement areas both commercially and operationally.
In order to ensure availability of high quality components at attractive prices, Otovo maintains both strategic and operational relationships with distributors, wholesalers and manufactures. As supply chain manager/specialist you will be at the forefront of this endeavor.
Key areas of responsibility
The supplychain manager will be responsible to ensure continuity of supply and joint value creation by collaborating externally with our supply chain partners. Your overarching responsibility will be to ensure the supply of hardware is sufficient to meet our needs on a european level. This role implies tasks in 4 major areas
1/ Supply chain partnerships:
Oversee and steer Otovo’s relationship with supply chain partners: sharing mid and long term forecasts, definition of a joint business plan including how to create value together in the supply chain.
Proactively manage the supplier capacity and ensure sufficient supply through a mix of commitments, supply chain integration and implementation of smart supply chain solutions.
Support our key account managers who handle the day to day operational relationship.
2/ Hardware Purchases
Coordinate the direct purchase of hardware when applicable: identification of potential sources, definition of the logistics setup, negotiation of commercial and logistics terms, evaluation of the gross margin and working capital impacts, ensuring the right level of approval and financial tracking.
3/ Key internal stakeholders
Create a strong link with our key account managers, understand the in-market demand, and installers’ capability, constraints and feedback.
You will be part of our central supply chain team - responsible for the entire European supply. This implies building new supply chains as we expand to new markets.
4/ Key Performance Indicators
Define, implement and track the relevant performance indicator of the supply chain (On Time In Full) in a way relevant to our industry and supplier capabilities.
Define and implement the tools needed to improve our forecasting accuracy in collaboration with local teams and supply chain partners.
Strong business acumen, ability to build win-win solutions and long term partnerships.
Logical thinking & at ease with numbers
Able to map processes and engage in improvement projects.
Dynamic, autonomous, rigorous, with a good sense of prioritization.
Not afraid to negotiate and lead financial discussions.
Committed and excited by our mission of leading the energy transition.
5-10 years work experience, ideally managing distributor operations or working at a distributor in a B2B retail environment, with an understanding of the dynamics around inventory management, working capital, logistics.
