Technical Support Agent

Otovo is looking for a solution-oriented Technical Support Agent for our Technical Support team in Scandinavia. You will join a fast growing, well funded startup with ambitious goals for international expansion. You will be responsible for ensuring that our customers have well-functioning photovoltaic systems and that the collaboration with install partners on technical issues is well-working. You will also provide colleagues with technical assistance when needed.

We’re building a platform on which hundreds of renewable energy installers input their products, prices and coverage and where we use that information to provide Otovo-branded standout services to people who want a solar energy system in their home. Customers get the best prices from local, high-quality installers who all adhere to the Otovo product standards in delivering roof-top solar systems.

Otovo is a customer oriented company, with electronic storefronts and a high presence in traditional and social media. We sell solutions to end-customers through our online platform, and maintain a life-cycle customer relationship from leads to support and recurring services. All our deliveries to our end-customers are handled via framework agreements with subcontractors.

Responsibilities

You will be working in a high-pace environment and you will find that not all cases  have a clear solution. We are therefore looking for a highly solution-oriented candidate with a drive to solve complex cases.

In the role as technical support agent you will:

  • Receive and process daily support tickets from customers via email, chat and phone
  • Coordinate service assignments and warranty matters with install partners, manufacturers, local authorities and customers
  • Follow up install partners, ensuring that the collaboration works optimally
  • Participate in and lead improvement initiatives
  • Troubleshoot PV installations via the web and on site


Requirements

Otovo is setting out to be the number one in the industry on customer satisfaction. You must be good at communicating both in writing and orally, as well as being able to communicate compelling technical matters to a diverse range of customers. To succeed in this position, we think you have a solid technical background knowledge, as well as a great appetite for new knowledge. Your work days will be very varied and you must be able to cope with having a large number of cases going on at the same time.What we are looking for

  • Fluent in Norwegian, and proficient in English
  • Work experience (1-3 years) with project management or project work. Lack of work experience can be offset by proven ability to solve problems and get stuff done
  • Technical education and/or hands-on experience in electrical engineering, electrical installations and/or construction work
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done

Compensation: Competitive compensation to match skills and experience. Bonus available.
