Otovo is a customer-oriented company, with electronic storefronts and a high presence in traditional and social media. We sell solutions to end-customers through a data driven automated online platform and maintain a life-cycle customer relationship from leads to support and recurring products services. All the deliveries to the end-customers are handled via framework agreements with subcontractors.

Otovo is financially backed by some of Europe’s most established institutional investors and is currently present in Norway, Sweden, Spain, France, Italy, Poland and Brazil, and are preparing to launch in Germany within this year. We are now looking to hire a dedicated VP Supply Chain.

Otovo's Supply Chain

All our deliveries to our end-customers are handled via framework agreements with subcontractors. As our operations scale up, we are proactively looking to ensure solid supply of equipment and materials to the installers on our platform. We therefore establish strategic supply chain partnerships in all the markets we operate in, and are constantly looking for improvement areas both commercially and operationally.

In order to ensure availability of high quality components at attractive prices, Otovo maintains both strategic and operational relationships with distributors, wholesalers and manufactures. As VP Supply Chain you will be at the forefront of this endeavour.

Role and Responsibilities

As Vice President Supply Chain in Otovo you will be in a high-responsibility position where you are expected to drive major improvements in securing supply, remove of short and medium term bottlenecks, and build commercial and operational relationships with wholesalers, distributors and suppliers:

  • Manage and oversee three core areas of responsibility:
    • Supply chain logistics: Identify upcoming bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, and proactively problem solve issues in short and medium term supply
    • Supply chain partnerships: Oversee and coordinate existing and upcoming supplier relationships, managed locally on a day-to-day basis by key account managers in each market
    • Sourcing and supply chain agreements: Ensure consistency and strategic alignment of agreements, both centrally and distributed in the various markets
  • Develop and improve sourcing forecasts and reports in collaboration with local teams and existing suppliers
  • Manage supplier capacity and ensure security of supply by identification of alternative and second source suppliers
  • Identify strategic and tactical levers and tools for improving and benefiting from Otovo’s consolidated purchasing power
  • Manage and coordinate execution of existing and new supply chain agreements, including building commercial benefits and revenue streams from suppliers

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience in sourcing and/or supply chain
  • Experience from mid-level management and up
  • Ability to lead and manage teams in an efficient and high-pace environment
  • A continuous and proven track record of achieving ambitious KPIs, with focus on ensuring deliveries and avoiding shortages
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English

You possess a can-do attitude, and get energy from working hands-on with problem identification and solving. While having an opportunistic mindset, you act diligently and trustworthy in all your work.

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate long term business goals and strategies into short term initiatives and KPIs.
  • Proficient in English. Proficiency in an additional European language is a plus.

Organization

You will be reporting to CTO Andreas Bentzen. Andreas is the co-founder of Otovo, and has been CTO in the company since its inception. Andreas holds a MSc in Electronics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a PhD in Physics from the University of Oslo, and has held various leadership, management and consulting positions within the Norwegian and international solar energy industry.

Otovo’s organization relies heavily on local autonomy for each market, combined with strong and focused functional teams that serve strategic purposes, define working processes and requirements, and provide support to help the markets succeed.
