We need your help

We seek a smart, passionate and impactful Marketing Analyst to join our Madrid-based pan-European Marketing team.

In this role you will provide budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analytics support and thought leadership across all marketing channels and countries. As a critical cross-functional lynchpin, you will be a key part of the Marketing leadership team and also of the Finance and Insights/Data (Product) organisations.

In 2023 Otovo centralised pan-European marketing in Madrid and has built up a dynamic, ambitious, international/multilingual team of professionals who are passionate about being the very best team in the business and delivering on the mission of putting solar panels on every roof in Europe and a battery in every home. We are organised into channel teams across Performance Marketing, SEO, Partnerships & Affiliates, Content Studio, PR & Comms, with Integrated Marketing/Brand, CRM and Conversion activities in development. We also have on-the-ground Marketing and Partnerships managers across our markets. We deploy substantial budgets across the countries and channels. At the same time the state of our marketing analytics is relatively rudimentary and you will have an immediate opportunity to make a massive positive impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

Partner with Insights/Data Product team in delivering tagging and tracking across all marketing activities

Lead development and deployment of attribution logic and models - from basic to complex over time

Develop single ‘source of truth’ reporting across all marketing metrics (spend, impressions, sessions, conversions, revenues, gross profit, etc.) and key performance indicators (ROI, CPS/CPA, CVR, etc., including on the margin)

In partnership with Finance, lead the charge with the analytical underpinnings of spend management: dynamic allocation framework, tracking of spend vs. budget and targets, reallocation guidance, preparation of budgets and forecasts

Provide channel and campaign support and with optimisation, including supporting experimentation (A/B tests, etc.), making improvement recommendations

Who you are:
Previous experience in analytics in a digitally-led business, ideally with focus on marketing
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker, other analytics and presentation software
Understanding of the principles of performance marketing, SEO, campaign measurement (incl. offline elements)
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, experience with use of statistical analysis and associated software, such as R or Python
Extremely analytical and numerate
Superior communication skills and ability to tell stories with data to inform and persuade; fluent in English
A self-starter able to take projects from strategy to execution independently, collaborating cross-functionally and delivering analyses and solutions with high attention to detail
A builder at heart, excited to build new capabilities, processes and tools
