We need your help

We seek a passionate, creative, impactful and collaborative VP of Integrated Marketing and Communications to join our Madrid-based pan-European Marketing team, reporting to the CMO. This is a pivotal multi-faceted role in which you will bring together our brand positioning, test & scale awareness and consideration-driving activities, drive an impactful promotional calendar, be responsible for content creation and all of our PR and Communications activities - both centrally and in partnership with all of the in-market operating teams. In 2023 Otovo centralised pan-European marketing in Madrid and has built up a dynamic, ambitious, international/multilingual team of professionals who are passionate about being the very best team in the business and delivering on the mission of putting solar panels on every roof in Europe and a battery in every home. In this role you will lead the Content team as well as direct PR agencies in various locations. Other Madrid-based peer teams include Performance Marketing, SEO, Partnerships & Affiliates. We also have on-the-ground Marketing Managers across our markets, with whom you and your team will collaborate intensively on implementation of centrally-driven activities and pilots of new ideas.

Your responsibilities will include:

● Understand and always be the voice of our customers

● Own articulation and development of the Otovo brand in all its facets - unique selling points (USPs)/positioning, personality/tone of voice, visual identity. Apply your vision to create and ensure on-brand customer experiences

● Through leadership of Content team ensure production of creative assets, written, visual, video content that effectively expresses the brand and impactfully delivers customer engagement

● Drive creation and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns (incl. an intensive promotional calendar) across all markets and channels, working cross-functionally with Partnerships, Performance Mktg, Product, Hardware, Finance, in-country teams, to deliver maximum measurable commercial impact

● Lead experimentation, pilots and scaling in driving awareness & consideration, incl. online and offline channels; measure results rigorously (in partnership with Finance) to derive optimal marketing mix

● Spearhead all communications activities and projects, both external (Public Relations) and internal (employee comms). Lead selection and leadership of retained PR agencies in various geographies. Deliver maximum media pickup, positively impacting awareness, word of mouth and direct traffic.

Who you are:

● An experienced integrated marketer with affinity for brand-building and plenty of hands-on experience with running commercially-impactful B2C marketing campaigns and trade promotions

● Gained experience at market-leading FMCG, ecommerce or other online B2C companies (e.g., travel, financial services, etc.) in a Marketing Director role

● Ample experience of working across Europe, understanding of commonalities and differences between consumers and their behaviour in different markets

● A talented and passionate communicator and project manager with demonstrable experience of leading cross-functional teams to deliver extraordinary results

● Experience with leading Comms & PR functions a plus

● Highly analytical and commercial, at all times understanding business impact of activities and projects

● Superior oral and written communication skills and ability to lead and collaborate with colleagues across teams and countries; fluent in English
