General Manager Norway

Job description

This person will be the face of Otovo in the Norwegian market and positioned as a thought leader with deep knowledge of the transformation towards sustainable energy. The General Manager will be responsible for building, developing, and managing the local team, grow the partner and installer network, and be accountable for driving revenue and adoption of the Otovo consumer products in the market.

  • Act as Otovo’s senior representative in the home market and build a network of installers as well successfully position Otovo as the go-to supplier of solar systems and connected products.
  • Scale, develop and manage a high-performing team, covering sales, operations, partnerships, customer support and marketing.
  • Create new business opportunities and generate sales, work cross functionally to optimize sales processes, and continuously develop the products and services on the Norwegian market.
  • Initiate and execute all commercial activities across the region and drive successful campaigns to achieve goals set.
  • Continuously develop and adapt the product for the Norwegian market working closely with the central product and engineering teams.
  • Partner closely with central functions like marketing, commercial, operations, finance and other functions to grow Norwegian revenue and brand awareness.
  • Analyse commercial results, market developments and customer-needs to identify commercial opportunities as well as potential improvements on products, technology, and internal operational models.
  • Execute on short-term strategy while maintaining and developing the vision for long-term success in the Norwegian market.

Job requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience successfully driving revenue and product adoption in leadership positions for consumer web companies.
  • Extensive experience from team management and outstanding leadership skills.
  • Previous successful experience of working in a high growth international environment, preferably with B2B2C exposure.
  • A continuous track record of achieving ambitious KPIs.
  • Deep understanding of the digital space, and experience scaling digital offerings.
  • Excellent oral and written communicator in English and Norwegian.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate long term business goals and strategies into short term initiatives and KPIs.
  • Solid interest in sustainable energy and an ability to quickly build an understanding of energy ecosystem and the business opportunities from the current changes in it.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills.
  • Hands on mentality, ability to balance long-term strategic initiatives with operations and execution.
