Member of Technical Staff, Financial Systems

This role is for someone who is equally comfortable building software and working through a finance problem. You’ll spend most of your time writing code, using AI heavily, and building the tools, integrations, and automations that make our finance and accounting work better.

The combination is what matters. We’re not looking for an engineer who needs every finance concept translated into a ticket, or a finance systems specialist who only configures off-the-shelf software. We need someone who understands accounting workflows and platforms well enough to spot the real problem, then has the technical ability to solve it.

You might automate a reconciliation, connect systems that don’t speak cleanly to each other, improve how data moves into the ledger, replace a manual spreadsheet process, or build a tool that makes close less painful. You’ll work directly with Finance and Accounting to understand how things actually run, decide what should change, and own the solution through production.

AI should already be a normal part of how you work. You know how to use it to write and review code, investigate unfamiliar systems, prototype solutions, and automate work. Just as importantly, you know when to verify its output and how to use it responsibly around sensitive financial data.

This is a hands-on role based in Houston. The value you bring is not just coding ability or finance knowledge on its own, but the ability to combine both and solve problems that would otherwise fall between teams.

You’ll be a good fit if you:

Have worked directly with finance and accounting systems such as ERP, general ledger, AP/AR, billing, payments, procurement, expense, payroll, tax, or reporting.

Have experience and are comfortable writing code for production systems. This is primarily a developer position that is bound to the finance teams’ requirements.
