Otovo is a European marketplace that connects consumers wanting to add solar panels to their homes with installer companies looking to fill their order book with projects. Otovo's mission is to put solar panels in every home, and by using software and technology we are able to make solar energy easy, cheap, and available everywhere.

Founded in 2016 in Norway, Otovo has rapidly scaled its platform, and it is currently operating in 13 countries: Norway, Sweden, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Portugal, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Netherlands and Belgium.
We are looking for a motivated, strategic and commercial Business Development Manager to join our team in Milan and scale our business.

About the role

  • You will be in charge of the onboarding of strategic partners, as well as their management over time. The mutual goal is to generate new demand and increase revenues by accelerating the adoption of solar from their customers.
  • You will structure, negotiate, and close deals, creating a pipeline from scratch.
  • You will pitch with clarity and confidence the benefits of partnering with Otovo to potential partners belonging to diverse industries.
  • You will work closely with other Otovo functions, such as Marketing, Sales, Operations, and country GMs, to leverage synergies across the organization that benefit our partner base.
  • You will report to the Head of Business Development

Job requirements

  • A doer with a hands-on mentality who is ready to roll up sleeves wanting to join a start-up environment in an entrepreneurial role.
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales / Partnerships /account management, preferably within renewable energy.
  • Experience in digital Marketing actions and activations.
  • Ease and confidence in reaching out to new partners and passion for building long-term partnerships.
  • Clear and convincing communication skills.
  • Courage to question the status quo and come up with out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Data-driven and target-focused approach
  • University degree
  • Fluent in English and Italian. Other EU languages would be a plus.

Hiring process

  • Screening phase
  • 1st interview with HR where we get to know each other (remote)
  • 2nd interview will consist in a discussion of a Business Case with your future manager, to understand your skills (remote)
  • 3rd interview with Operations and Sales Representatives
  • Final interview with the Italian GM at our office!

Type of contract: Permanentfull-time

In addition to your fixed salary, a variable part will be added based on your objectives.
