About Otovo

Otovo’s mission is to put solar panels and batteries in every European home by creating the easiest and most affordable way to go solar. We do this by connecting consumers that want solar panels or batteries with installer companies looking to fill their order book through our marketplace.

Established in 2016, Otovo has rapidly scaled its marketplace beyond the Nordics and operates in thirteen countries in Europe as of end of 2022.

Otovo is headquartered in Oslo and listed on Euronext Growth, with a mandate to uplist to the main list on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

About your role: Business developer

Otovo is scaling its business at an incredible rate and we want to strengthen our central function supporting this growth. Otovo’s central function comprises several teams including, but not restricted to, strategy, business development, supply chain and delivery. The Central Delivery team is responsible for conducting special projects as defined by Otovo executive level, in a case by case collaboration with the markets and other functions in a cross functional team. The projects may be market specific or company initiatives.

The delivery team currently consists of two senior employees, with broad general business experience and knowledge. The team will expand with one additional team member, in the role of business developer.

As a business developer, you will gain extensive insight into the entire Otovo organization and work across business sectors and markets. You must be comfortable with changing business priorities and team objectives, always focusing on what's thought of as the most important matters for the company: “What will create the bigger value?”. Responsibilities will therefore be project specific and will develop over time. You can expect to conduct your work both autonomously and in close collaboration with other stakeholders.

What you can expect to do (in general terms, not exhaustive):

  • Define problems concisely and hypothesize the proposed solution(s)
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive the proposed solution
    • Quantitative research methodologies include data mining, creating financial models, and performing valuation analysis
    • Qualitative research methodologies include performing market research and collecting business intelligence
  • Consolidate the findings from the analysis and present solutions in a compelling matter
  • Develop and present a plan to implement the recommended changes
  • Work with key stakeholders to set the plan into action and follow up on progress

What we look for:

  • Data driven and analytical skill set with a high proficiency in Excel/Google sheets
  • Knowledge of and experience with Looker and/or other business intelligence BI suites are highly desirable
  • Master's degree with strong academic records
  • Experience from a top management consulting firm (+2 years) and/or from a business development unit with a good track record for delivery results
