Our Head of Sustainability is leaving, and we are looking for her replacement.

About the role

We are looking for a self-driven and motivated individual to lead Otovo’s work on sustainable development and public affairs. In this role you will:

• Be responsible for handling of all matters related to environment, social and governance (ESG) and public affairs
• Develop and maintain Otovo’s climate impact model
• Undertake sustainability due diligence, including risk and impact assessments and mapping of supply chains
• Handle inquiries under the Transparency Act or similar regulations
• Annually report on ESG results and improvements and prepare for reporting in line with CSRD
• Oversee subsidy schemes in Otovo’s markets and monitor any changes
• Proactively contribute to and facilitate discussions with politicians and public authorities to create favourable market/operating environment
• Facilitate strategic discussions with stakeholders, including suppliers, business partners, investors and public authorities
• Conduct internal training related to sustainability and political influence
• Contribute to other parts of Otovo’s business as fits interests and capabilities
  

The role reports to the General Counsel of Otovo and you will be part of the legal and ESG  department. You will also work closely with the group management and the finance team.

Who we think you are

A doer with a focus on throughput and with an ability to execute tasks efficiently. A person who enjoys getting stuff moving, with good communication and execution skills. You are a person interested in working in a scale-up company as well as with renewable energy.

Your profile:

• 3-5 years of experience
• Background from consulting or communication can be an advantage, but various profiles will be considered
• Masters degree in relevant subject field
• Experience with sustainability and/or public affairs
• Knowledge about global supply chains and the solar industry sector would be a plus
• Knowledge about sustainability reporting frameworks
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English

High motivation and ability and eagerness to learn can compensate for lack of experience.
