We are looking for a motivated, strategic and commercial Business Development Manager to join our team in Berlin and scale our German operations.
Your role at Otovo
As Partnership Manager you will be the person who scales up the B2B2C partnership activities for the German market.
This is a strategic function to ensure the German market's rapid growth.
You will own the Otovo partnerships development for Germany and acquire, onboard and manage key partnerships over time.
Your goal is to generate new customer demand to Otovo, through the partners’ own channels and customer bases, thus bringing more business to Otovo Germany.
In this role you’ll closely work with our VP Global Partnerships.
In addition, you will support the General Manager in Germany on other strategically important business development projects.
You will report directly to the General Manager of Germany.
Your tasks
- Create and execute the partnership strategy for partner acquisition in Germany, and own the portfolio that you acquire. This includes mapping, shortlisting, and engagement of partners.
- Pitch with clarity and confidence the benefits of partnering with Otovo to potential partners
- Work closely with other Otovo internal functions, such as Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to ensure the partnership's potential is fully explored.
- You will continue further expanding the collaborations with partners generating new ideas for new collaboration campaigns.
- Contribute to the international Otovo Partnerships team with feedback loops and ad hoc projects.
- Execute other strategically important business development projects for Germany
Job requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in B2B Sales, Senior Account Management and/or Business Development preferably in a dynamic startup environment
- Experience in a strategy consultancy will be considered as a plus
- Hands-on mentality and readiness to roll up your sleeves and join a fast-paced environment in an entrepreneurial role
- Clear and convincing communication skills - ease and confidence in reaching out to new partners, including prospecting and cold calling
- Data-driven, target-focused and commercial mindset
- Passion for building long-term partnerships
- Good understanding of digital products and the possibilities for integrations
- Courage to question the status quo and come up with out-of-the-box solutions
- Fluency in German and English is a must
