Solar Customer Care Specialist

Job Summary

As a Solar Customer Care Specialist, you will ensure that Otovo customers receive the highest level of support and customer service. You will work closely with customers and other team members to provide technical guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and overall support for finalized solar panels.


  • Be the voice of our company and the first point of contact for our customers. Answer their questions and make their day with your positive attitude.
  • Taking ownership of retrieving customer feedback and being accountable for Otovo's customer satisfaction score.
  • Follow up and support customers experiencing technical issues with their installation via email, chat, and phone. Make our customers smile by going above and beyond to provide excellent service and solve their problems while also geeking out with fellow solar enthusiasts as we provide daily technical support and guidance to customers.
  • Invoicing and following up with non-paying customers in NetSuite.
  • Searching for hidden opportunities to exceed customer expectations, add value, and create a memorable experience for them.
  • As a Solar Customer Care Specialist, you get to be the superhero who manages and solves technical support tickets promptly and effectively, using our skills and expertise to save the day and make our customers' lives easier.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives by flexing your creative muscles, brainstorming new ideas, and implementing them to create an even better customer experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and other team members, using your interpersonal skills to create a positive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.


  • Positive attitude, commitment to helping customers succeed, and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Customer support experience, preferably with Zendesk or Hubspot.
  • Fluency in one of the languages; German, Swedish, Dutch, Flemish, French, Italian. More than one language is a plus.
  • English working proficiency required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and collaborate.
  • Experience with technical problem solving and a strong understanding of electrical engineering, installations, or construction is a plus.
  • Dedication to quality work, systematic processes, and adequate documentation.
  • Prioritization skills and a focus on keeping customers informed and satisfied.
